One of the main features of Hokuryo is that we have a direct sales channel to retailers and do not rely on wholesalers.
We have eight sales offices, six in Hokkaido and two in Tohoku(northern mainland Japan) and dealing with most big retailers in these regions.
We have 5 chicken houses in Hokkaido and 3 in Tohoku, and also we raise pullets in “pullet farms” in Hokkaido.
Sapporo Farm(Kitahirosima)
Tokachi Farm(Otohuke)
We introduce state-of-the-art system in our chicken houses where computers control temperature, ventilation and other in-house environment. In view of prevention of Salmonella contamination, we put first priority on hygiene inside the houses and clean and disinfect the houses according to our manuals which stipulate detailed procedures.
We are also making our farms looking like a garden with lawns and trees. “Eggs from Garden Farm” is our catchphrase.
Noboribetsu Farm
Kitami Farm
Our farms are connected with our packing and grading plants (GP center) with bar conveyors. The eggs are automatically carried into the GP center through the conveyor on the same day of production and graded/packed in the GP center.
We set the top class hygiene standard for our GPs for producing safe and reliable egg products.
As a frontrunner in our industry, in 2004 we introduced traceability system in which we print “the best-before date” and “lot number” on the shell of each egg.
We believe that the most fundamental element required in food is safety.
Hokuryo sees safety as our “matter-of-course” element in our products.
